About Me 

Hi, I'm Sadie, and welcome to my personal learning portfolio! Here, I will share my interests, experiences, and reflections. I am currently a second-year Art History major at the University of Cincinnati, with plans to minor in business administration as well as certificates in Museum Studies and French Business. I aspire to work in business administration in the field of art history. I am originally from Carmel, Indiana, and this is my first time experiencing Cincinnati! In my free time, I tend to be reading, playing video games, playing with my dog, and my two new kitties. I am passionate about art, both as an artist and as an art historian! Through my time at UC I plan to gain hands-on and in-person experience in the academic area of art history. I hope to get involved in various student-led organizations on campus and also contribute to my community through volunteering. The University Honors Program is providing me with countless opportunities to gain experience, and I am eager to explore what I can do! 

One of the most important experiences that has guided me to UC and my career goals was getting to take an art history course in high school, as well as traveling to Italy. During my time in high school, I was able to truly dive into a field I had never even heard of, and I completely fell in love. In Italy, I was able to visit museums like the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery to see the artworks I had studied. (I cried). I know that during my time at UC I am going to carve a place for myself in the world, and I can't wait to see how it happens.
